Viktor Konvalinka


After graduating from Prague Dance Conservatory in 2004, Viktor joined the Czech National Ballet, where he was appointed soloist in 2006. He has performed as a soloist in classical repertoire, as well as in modern ballets and contemporary productions. The audiences in Prague has seen him in choreographies by Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Mats Ek, Jirka Pokorny, Jacobo Godani,Youri Vamos, Petr Zuska, Jan Kodet, Jean-Christophe Maillot and Jerome Robbins. 

Viktor has attended summer master classes at the Dance Academy in Dresden and in Philadelphia, deepening his skills in classical and modern technique. He has received a number of accolades in Czech and international competitions.

In 2009 Viktor and his colleague Tom Rychetsky founded the DekkaDancers ensemble, in which he was given free rein to materialise his notions of dance and choreographic invention. The group have mainly performed with Czech National Ballets dancers and besides choreographies they have participated in various events, including fashion shows and rock concerts.
